To be eligible you must be registered in the AARFP Conference & Trade Show, follow our Instagram (@rfp_ab) AND Facebook page. Tag and take pictures appropriately.
The prize will be a 25$ Amazon Gift Card!
You have until April 29, 1:00 pm to send or post three photos of yourself (or your friends) at Conference & Trade Show. The winner will be announced on May 2nd.
If you don’t want to upload your photos, you can send me the pictures to communications@aarfp.com, before April 29, 1:00 pm.
You will have to take 3 pictures at conference and upload the pictures on Facebook, Instagram with the following hashtags: #rfp45 #AARFP

If you haven’t already, please download our event app (Pheedloop)! It will tell you everything you need to know about the keynotes, sessions, Trade Show, Sponsors and more!
To download the event app, please go into your app store and search for PheedLoop Go!. Then you download it! Then you log in with the credentials that were emailed to you. If you forgot your password, use the forgot password button and use the email address you used to register for Conference. If you have any questions, Email Us.
How to pick your session in Pheedloop:
1. Download the Pheedloop App (go to the App Store and search Pheedloop, then download it) & log in with your credentials (they have been emailed to you already, if not email or call us).
2. Click on the “2024 AARFP Conference & Trade Show”.
3. Then click on “Schedule”.
4. From this point, you’ll be able to see what sessions are available. As well as the speaker. If you want to see the description, who else is attending it and more information on the speaker, click on the session.
5. When you find a session that you like, click on it, and then click on Add to Schedule.
6. You can always change your schedule. Click on the bottom right “My Schedule” to view your selections, and you can open it by clicking on it and then click remove to remove it from your schedule.
The next AARFP AGM will be held in person only, in Sandman Signature – Lethbridge AB on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2024, at 11:15 AM. The following positions will be open:
- Aquatic Representative
- Associate Representative
- Building Maintenance
- Secretary/Treasurer
The RFP Trade Show (sponsored by CIMCO) will be hosting over 60 exhibitors for a night of business, networking, and fun. We encourage you to bring and wear your favorite jersey to show off your team’s colors at the trade show!
Auction
Bidding will take place in-person on Monday, April 25th right after trade show during Hospitality (11:00 pm)! You’ll be able to view the items during Conference and Trade Show, so if you are interested, pre-bid!
Transport
We will be providing transportation to and from the Trade Show venue. The first bus will arrive at 6:15 pm and you’ll be picked up at the lobby. A bus will be arriving every 30 minutes with the final bus being at 10:00 pm. Hospitality (sponsored by Big Hill) after Trade Show will take place at the Hotel, at the hospitality room.
Trade Show Draws
Trade Show Draws will occur at 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm & 9:30 pm. We are giving away gift cards from $250, $500 (sponsored by Jet Ice & GTR Turf) and $1000! You must be at Trade Show to recieve your gift card.
HOSPITALITY
Hospitality after Trade Show will take place at Sandman Signature Hotel, in the Essie Room can be found by following the brick road or the signs (you will have to exit the hotel and then go left).

During Hospitality Quantum will be hosting a Name That Tune Name that Tune the Quantum Recreation Bingo Edition. This is a fun twist on a classic game of name that tune with bingo cards. Hear it, mark it and let us know when you win big!
Game types: 80s, Decades, One Hit Wonders, and Pop Hits
Rules of the Game:
- Listen to the music
- Listen to the songs and, as you know the song title, then mark it off on your card. You’ve got 15-30 seconds to mark your card! We will play multiple games with one card.

The AARFP Award Banquet sponsored by Pinnacle on Tuesday April 23rd starts at 5:30pm. The dinner will be buffet style. The dress code for the evening is business casual.

About AARFP Conference & Trade Show
The Alberta Association of Recreation Facility Personnel (AARFP) is excited to host our Annual Conference and Trade Show, The Bridge To Recreation.
Recreation is more important than ever, especially the role it plays in bridging the differences between people, cultures and communities. And what better way than to build upon the current skills and tools that you have as a recreation professional then through a Conference full of like-minded individuals who are also looking to connect and learn. This year’s Conference program provides you with the opportunity to learn and share with others who face similar challenges, successes, as well as learn from the experts who have bridged the gaps.
With over 30 education sessions, numerous tradeshow exhibitors, inspiring keynote speakers and opportunities to network. Recreation professionals will take away information that will help them bridge the gaps in recreation, collaborate with community members and inspire positive changes.
The conference will be held in Lethbridge on April 21-24, 2024, with attendance by 250-300 delegates in recreation operations from all over Alberta, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and the Northwest Territories.
