Conference & Trade Show Need To Knows!

What Do You Need To Know?

To be eligible you must be registered in the AARFP Conference & Trade Show, follow our Instagram (@rfp_ab) AND Facebook page. Tag and take pictures appropriately. You can only enter the contest once, but if you complete all 10, you will be entered in the draw twice.

The prize will be a Karaoke Machine!

You have until April 27, 1:00 pm to send or post your photos. The winner will be announced on May 1st.

If you don’t want to upload your photos you can send me the pictures to me at communications@aarfp.com, before April 27th at 1:00 pm.

You will have to take 3 pictures in the following list and upload the pictures on Facebook, Instagram with the following hashtags: #aarfpconf #aarfpWIN #aarfpconf23

Take 3 out of 6 photos of you or your friends at:

  1. Check-In (we prefer a funny pose)
  2. BBQ
  3. Dancing at hospitality or band
  4. One education session
  5. Trade Show
  6. Tuesday afternoon activity

To be eligible you must be registered in the AARFP Conference & Trade Show. You have until April 27th to enter the give-away and the winner will be announced May 1st! 

The Grand Prize this year is a voucher for Kananaskis Nordic Spa for $500 value AND a TV! You’ll only be able to win the grand prize if you are at the Red Deer Resort & Casino while we draw the names. 

Fill out a survey before May 5th and get put in a draw for a prize! The survey is anonymous. We will be announcing the winner on May 9th. 

How do I change my session?

To change or add a session, you login to your member portal (Click Here). Click Events, and then My Event Registrations. You’ll see your ticket, and a green button called Modify. Click Modify and then “Select Ticket Options”. From there you select which sessions you would like to attend and then you hit save!

How do I change my session if someone else signed me up?

If you were signed up by someone, you’ll have to sign in under the name of the individual who signed you up to change or view your schedule.

AGM

It starts at 11:15 am at the Red Deer Resort & Casino. The following positions will be filled:

  • President Elect
  • Education Representative
  • Parks & Sport Fields Representative
  • Arena Representative
  • Client Services Representative

TRANSPORTATION

Trade Show is taking place at the G.H. Dawe Community Centre (56 Holt St, Red Deer, AB T4N 6A6). We will be providing transportation to and from the centre. The first bus will arrive at 6:15 pm and you’ll be picked up at the lobby. There will be a bus to and from the Dawe Centre every 30 minutes in front. Starting at 8:30 pm the bus will also be dropping delegates to the hotel & Bo’s Bar & Stage.

Drink Tickets & Game

Drink tickets can be bought at the registration desk. They are $5 each. You’ll recieve your Don Moore Game Sheet at Registration!

PRIZES

Trade Show Draws will occur at 7:30 pm, 8:30 pm & 9:30 pm. Keep an ear out for your name! 

TRADE SHOW IS JERSEY NIGHT!

The RFP Trade Show will be hosting over 60 exhibitors for a night of business, networking, and fun. This year, you are encouraged to bring and wear your favourite jersey to show off your team’s colors at the trade show!

AUCTION

Bidding will take place in-person on Monday, April 25th right after trade show (9:30 pm)! If you have anything to donate, bring it to the registration table at conference.

HOSPITALITY

Hospitality after Trade Show will take place at Bo’s Bar & Stage. We will be providing transportation to Bo’s starting at 8:30 pm (it will be the second stop after the hotel). 

BANQUET DRESS CODE

The AARFP Award Banquet on Tuesday April 25th starts at 5:30pm. The dinner will be served as a buffet. The dress code for the evening is business casual. We can’t wait to see you all there!
