The Town of Pincher Creek is contemplating major renovations or replacement of their curling rink due to the age and condition of the building. They are considering expanding the number of ice sheets from four to six, and are wondering about the trend of curling in Alberta communities overall - is it growing, is there youth involvement, and is the norm to build rinks as stand alone facilities, or to combine them with arenas, golf clubs, etc.?
Any feedback from communities would be appreciated. Please forward responses to:
Diane Burt Stuckey, Director of Community Services

Cardel Place is currently looking for a new home for our huge Aquatic Toy, called the Buccaneer Assault Course (photos attached).
We bought the Buccaneer just over two years ago for $10,000. The toy is still in excellent condition and has no holes/flaws/etc. The problem that weve run into is that our pool just isnt wide/deep enough for the Buccaneer and this toy should be used in deep water with a few meters clearance on either sides. That being said, we are trying to find a facility that would be interested in purchasing it for $5,000.
The Buccaneer is ideal for older children and a deeper pool. A safe entry pad is followed by A-Flex Tech's more challenging tubular design, with interesting obstacles to manoeuvre along and over. Would be a welcome addition to any city/community/school pool. Dimensions: 15.4 metres long x 2.8 metres high x 3.0 metres wide. Please call 403-567-4476 if you have any questions.
